Interior Painting
Perform Lead Based Paint Screening Survey on structures
built prior to 1978.
1. Photograph wall configuration
for photos and frames upon request so homeowner can re-hang
items.
2. Move furniture and appliances as necessary.
3. Remove and reinstall blinds, curtains
if and as necessary.
4. Armstrong to use drop cloths
or appropriate floor covering such as plastic or construction
paper for floor protection.
5. Plastic sheeting placed
over furniture as necessary for protection against possible
paint splatter.
6. Dusting and removal of surface dirt
prior to priming.
7. Patch small holes, cracks,
caulk around windows and doors with appropriate patching and
caulking compound.
8. Major cracks repaired with AWS compound
and dry wall tape if required.
9. De-glossing of enamel surfaces prior to painting, T.S.P. or
AWS equivalent as required.
10. Prime as needed and neutralize bleed-through trouble spots.
11. Apply AWS top coat, latex
or alkyd base until coverage obtained
(to be determined by visual inspection of Armstrong’s
foreman).
12. Sanding as necessary of all moldings,
trim, doors prior to top coat.
13. Apply with a brush, roller or spray to be determined by Armstrong’s
Certified Installer.
14. Cleanup and removal of materials and debris. Touch up materials
of each topcoat color left on site.
15. Interior Painting by Armstrong
warranteed 5 years against chipping, peeling, flaking due
to defect in Armstrong’s application or materials. (See
contract for complete warranty)
